Seeking Clarity

A member emailed today, confused, and seeking clarity. The source of their confusion was outside of TrafficHoopla, and we understand, there is much begging for your everything, and it’s sometimes difficult to see through all the hype, hoopla, and anecdotes.

This week, we updated our front page look, which is and has always been our blog. I also added a short page about the meaning of our name.

Hoopla is excitement, hype, publicity, action, activity, brouhaha, bustle, buzz, commotion, drama, elation, emotion.

The hoopla in our name, TrafficHoopla, is on purpose, branding first, and meaning we are here to help guide you past all the hype, hoopla, and other anecdotes common throughout the world of Internet marketing.

Advertising in general is hoopla, both online and offline.

Our beliefs, our methods, and what we do is consistent, conservative, educated, experienced, and professional.

We take nothing for face value, we test everything, and statistical data rules.

And although we have many respected friends in this business, we tend to avoid joint-ventures, and avoid participating in the so called “good Ole boys” network that tends to blur most Internet marketing.

Here is part of my response to the member seeking clarity:

TrafficHoopla is rather simple. We are a web portal linking current top ranked advertising resources. Join each for free and use them daily to promote both your business and your TrafficHoopla. The reason for promoting your TrafficHoopla is to get signup’s because these resources will greatly reward you for referring others, mostly by a percentage of traffic earned by those you refer. Doing this over the long haul can help you achieve upwards of 10,000 or more daily hits. This traffic may be directed to any site and at any time.

The purpose of TrafficHoopla is to build long term daily web site traffic. Some will use TrafficHoopla to build traffic for an existing business and others come here with no existing business and build traffic first, which is most ideal.

My encouragement to those without a business, take your time, build traffic first, read & learn, discover your niche, and then build your business on it.

Years ago a young baseball player’s long-ball hitting got the
attention of a pro scout, and the boy was offered a contract.  When
he went off to spring training, he performed well.  And each week
he wired his mother back at home to inform her of his progress.

Week One:  “Dear Mom, leading all batters.  These pitchers aren’t
so tough.”

Week Two:  “Dear Mom, looks like I will be starting in infield.
Now hitting .500.”

Week Three:  “Dear Mom, today they started throwing curves.  Will
be home Friday.”
